East African Pharmaceuticals PLC (EAP) is one of the pioneer privately-owned joint venture direct foreign investment Pharmaceutical factories.It’s establishment dates back to 1996 GC ,when British and Sudanese investors aimed to produce both  human and veterinary medicines. In it’s early days, the company solely operated a single production line, which was later expanded to three in 2004. Situated at Gourd Shola industrial area in Addis Ababa, the factory is in close proximity to Jakrose homes. Notably, East African Pharmaceuticals was the first of it’s  kind to manufacture veterinary medicines, with a focus on the Ethiopia market, as well as selected neighboring African Countries and the Middle East Markets. In March 2012, the ownership of the Company is transferred to Sudanese, Saudi and Yemeni investors and since then it has increased its production capacity by introducing advanced pharmaceutical machineries of a very high output. The company has a well established Production, Quality Assurance ,Research and Development, Quality Control  and Engineering Departments, with a highly experienced senior technical staff to diligently carry out its manufacturing activities. Currently, the Company is working on human production lines (Tablet & Capsule) with all the necessary machineries for production. Both production lines are supplied with a dedicated HVAC system, follows a unidirectional flow to fulfill GMP’s requirements. After continuous  G I Z consultant’s technical support and final GMP inspection, East African Pharmaceuticals is now accredited with PIC’s, GPM certificate
