East African Pharmaceuticals PLC (EAP), established in 1996 GC by British and Sudanese investors,
is a leading privately owned pharmaceutical factory in Ethiopia.Located in Addis Ababa, near Jakrose homes in the Gourd Shola Industrial area,
EAP specializes in producing high-quality human and veterinary medicines.
Initially starting with one production line, EAP expanded to three lines by 2004
to meet growing demand in Ethiopia and neighboring African countries, as well as
the Middle East. In 2012, ownership transferred to Sudanese, Saudi, and Yemeni investors,
facilitating a significant increase in production capacity with advanced pharmaceutical machinery.
Today, EAP operates two human production lines (Tablet & Capsule) and a veterinary line,
all meeting stringent Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
Our facility features separate production areas ensuring quality and efficiency.
EAP is proud to have achieved PICs GMP certification, a testament to our commitment
to producing medicines of the highest standards. With dedicated departments in Production,
QA, R&D, QC, and Engineering, our experienced team ensures meticulous manufacturing processes.
As we continue to grow, EAP remains dedicated to advancing healthcare access through innovation
and excellence in pharmaceutical manufacturing, serving markets across Africa and beyond.
